Delbert A. La Rue

is a research entomologist specializing in New World Scarabaeoidea particularly the systematics and bionomics of the subfamily Melolonthinae (Tribe Melolonthini) and the family Pleocomidae (Genus Pleocoma).

Other interests include New World Metallic Wood Boring Beetles (subfamily Acmaeoderinae), and the ecology of sand dune ecosystems.

At present, he is a Research Associate at the Entomology Research Museum, University of California, Riverside.
